What is Oroko?
Oroko is a process mapping and documentation product.
It is designed to help teams make a process easier to see, understand and maintain without turning the process map into a workflow automation builder.
The core model
Section titled “The core model”Oroko separates different kinds of process information so each view can stay focused.
- Map shows the visual flow of the process.
- Procedure provides the operating guide for the process.
- Details holds broader process context.
- Analysis captures issues and opportunities around the process.
- Versions records process versions and supports comparison.
- Governance brings together process controls such as review, permissions, versions and audit information.
Workspaces
Section titled “Workspaces”Processes live inside a workspace.
Workspace-level tools include the Process Library, Template Library, Roles, Systems, Roadmap, workspace settings and support.
Current and Future states
Section titled “Current and Future states”A process can contain more than one variant.
Oroko uses a Current State to document how work operates today and can also represent a Future State for a proposed way of working.
Keeping these states separate lets teams compare improvement ideas with the current process without replacing the current process prematurely.
What Oroko is not
Section titled “What Oroko is not”Oroko is not intended to execute the workflow itself.
The map documents the process and its context. Systems used in the process can be recorded, but Oroko does not need to become the system that performs every step.
